Agencies typically don’t like having to say goodbye to clients but in this case we couldn’t be happier.
It’s not because we don’t like her, but because for Susie Chassagne it means heading to the French Alps in what is the culmination of six months worth of incredibly hard and selfless work on her part.
We first heard about Susie’s plan when our own kayak enthusiast Kevin was having a catch up with photographer Jason Dodd at the beginning of the year. Jason was sharing some of his latest projects and mentioned this crazy lady who was going to kayak for charity through part of the French Alps after only 6 months of training. A few weeks later and he was sitting down with Susie to discuss her training, her trip and the Blackthorn Trust in Maidstone for who she was aiming to raise £10,000.
To help her along her journey we created a logo for the project, built a website, filmed a video, and helped to create a social media strategy for the build up and the trip itself. Flash forward to today and Susie is about to set off on an amazing adventure for which we wish her the best of luck.
So far Susie has raised over £9,000 and we would love her to get to her target while she is away. The whole project for her started from a place of personal trauma and the way that she has turned that into something so powerful not just herself but for others has been incredibly inspiring. Most people would train for 2 or 3 years to do what she is about to undertake but Susie has done it in around 6 months. She is as a total rock star!
